This instrumental ensemble is a hobby, not a day job. We are amateurs, who do this for fun. That said, we decided to record ourselves to see how we were progressing, and may well do so again. Our recordings aren't for sale, they're made for our own enjoyment. If you enjoy them too, feel free to download the MP3s for yourself. :)
June 2012 - Prime
This mini-album was produced as a learning tool for the group. It was recorded on a laptop over the course of several of our regular practice sessions. The name Prime refers to the canonical hour devoted to preparation for the day's work, and it also seemed an apt title for our first attempt at recording. Please note that while there are some dance tunes among the recorded tracks, they were selected primarily for the sound, and are not necessarily being played a suitable number of repetitions for dancing. The tracks below involve a mix of SATB recorders, mandolin and octave mandolin, renaissance drum, and tambourine.
